Personal Training for Adults and Teens

I believe the best workout for you is the one you’ll keep doing. And if it’s fun, there’s a better chance you’ll keep doing it.
Over the course of my fitness career I’ve explored multiple modalities, including strength training, barre, yoga, triathlon, and even martial arts. My love of physical movement developed into a passion for teaching fitness. When I moved from Brooklyn to Marin over a decade ago, I began training privately and instructing group classes - in studios, through Zoom, at home, and on wellness retreats.
As a trainer, I am creative, lively, and precise: With years of hard-won knowledge, I help my clients sift through different fads and fitness modalities to determine what will best help them accomplish their goals.
It is my goal to help clients navigate the obstacles to fitness they face in their daily lives, because I’ve faced them too - whether that’s being injured, busy, pregnant, or simply tired. I use my experience to help you ignite your curiosity about your best self, and build strategies that will allow us to work toward that together. I can’t wait to work with you at The Anchor Method to prioritize your wellness, help you reach your goals, and have a little fun.

My fitness journey began as an athlete, but it was a herniated disc at 18 that forced me to slow down and reexamine what movement truly looked like. That experience sparked a lifelong fascination with understanding the human body as a unique machine and learning how to optimize its function.
I have spent years specializing in corrective exercise, integrating elements of mobility, bodybuilding, and functional training. Today, my career has evolved to look at movement through a deeper lens informed by neurology. I focus on the 'software' of the body, understanding that the nervous system is the ultimate driver of our movement patterns.
By incorporating P-DTR (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex) into my sessions, I ensure that muscles are firing and inhibiting properly. This neurological approach is the missing link in reducing pain, correcting muscular imbalances, and preventing the physical deterioration caused by faulty movement patterns. I believe that by building a strong neurological foundation, we can truly optimize the journey toward functional strength and longevity.

I believe that fitness is not just about achieving a certain body shape or size, but rather about feeling strong, confident, and empowered in your own skin. I focus on building functional strength that translates into everyday activities, making my clients more capable and resilient in their daily lives.
The Anchor Method, my unique training approach, is designed to challenge you both physically and mentally. Inside the gym, we will push your limits, break through plateaus, and unlock your full potential. But the real challenge lies outside those gym doors, where consistency and commitment are key. That's why I am committed to holding you accountable to your fitness goals, providing the motivation and support you need to stay on track.
I understand that making significant lifestyle changes can be overwhelming, which is why I believe in the power of small, sustainable changes over time. Together, we will work towards creating a healthier lifestyle that goes beyond just exercise. We will build a strong foundation for a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life.

I’m Savannah, a NASM certified personal trainer and kinesiology student. My fitness journey began with my own health transformation between 2020 and 2021, where movement and lifestyle changes taught me that training is about far more than physical results. Through that process, I experienced how consistent movement, structure, and self care can dramatically improve confidence, mental health, and overall quality of life, and that’s what truly made me fall in love with fitness.
My mission is simple: to help you move better, get stronger, and feel confident in your body. I’ll give you the tools and knowledge to incorporate effective training and nutrition into your lifestyle, and I’ll make sure you feel heard, supported, and challenged every step of the way. My goal is to help you build strength and healthy habits in a way that fits your life and helps you feel your best, both physically and mentally.
After training myself, I began coaching friends and family and quickly realized I wanted to help others reach their goals as well. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including those new to strength training, older adults with mobility challenges, busy professionals, teen athletes, and individuals looking to build confidence and consistency in the gym. I’ve also taught yoga and stretching classes, and I always prioritize safety, proper form, and long term progress.
At The Anchor Method, I’m excited to meet you where you are, learn your body, and help you build a strong, confident mindset that supports you physically, mentally, and sustainably.
